1. Information only
Richter Center shows earthquake information for general interest and education. It is not an early-warning, emergency or safety service. Always follow official alerts and local authorities.
2. Accuracy
Data comes from the USGS and GeoNames and may be revised, delayed or incomplete. We provide it as is, without warranty.
3. Use of the site
You may browse and share links freely. Don't overload the site with automated requests or try to break its security. Earthquake data itself is public domain (USGS); place data is CC BY 4.0 (GeoNames).
4. Advertising and third parties
The site shows ads and links to other sites, which have their own terms.
